Pilot Light

Pilot Light is the Belzer household's weekly dinner planner. Each Saturday it drafts the coming week's dinners from the family's recipe library, works around busy evenings on the family calendar, and emails the plan and a shopping list to the household. Only Google accounts on the household list can sign in.

How Pilot Light uses your Google data

Google Sign-In (openid, email, profile): your name, email address and Google account ID, used only to check that you're on the household list and to show who made each change.
Google Calendar, read (calendar.readonly): lists the calendars a connected account can see, then reads only the titles and times of events during weeknight dinner hours, to flag busy nights in the plan.
Google Calendar, write (calendar.events): adds the planned dinners to the one calendar you choose, and only creates and updates its own dinner events.

Pilot Light's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
